I loved the custom of coffee and cake Sunday afternoons
growing up in Germany. My grandma would usually have picked some delightful
confection up from the bakery down the street the day before and we would have
the most relaxed Sundays. All the stores
were closed and it was the perfect afternoon for spending quality time together
while decompressing. Sometimes I long for those slower paced days. So, while
this weekend wasn’t as laid back as those childhood afternoons, I did indulge
in a little afternoon break with coffee and this delicious blueberry-lemon Bundt
cake. (Recipe here. I did add a few more berries and added one more TBL of lemon
zest. I like to be zesty. :))
Here’s to more leisurely Sunday afternoons. xo
Um what? You grew up in Germany? How did I not know that?!

Thanks! I am feeling very domestic these days. Lol! It was actually a rull easy recipe. The most nerve-wracking part was getting it out of the Bundt pan. I enlisted the help of my hubs. xo
