Happy Tasty Tuesday!! I could eat my weight in salsa. It's my FAVORITE! I love mine with lots of cilantro, lime and a little extra kick! Since I'm currently living with my in-laws until we move into our new house next month, I'm taking full advantage of her abundance of awesome kitchen tools such as the food processor. (I will promptly be purchasing one for our new home. My husand has been warned.) This is such an easy and delish recipe.
Finally, a little pizazz! We saw bold, fun and let's make a statement looks at the SAG Awards last night. Rose Byrne took a risk here and looked fantastically cool in this embellished white Ellie Saab jumpsuit! A stand out and not something we see a lot during awards season. I am loving it! She wins best dressed! That Anna Wintour inspired hair is also seriously working for me.
Yes, a thousand times yes! Emma Stone has been topping all of my awards season best dressed lists this year. How fun and sweet was this girlie, flirty tea length ball gown silhouette by Alexander McQueen?! That clutch – die!! It’s also Alexander McQueen.
Regina King looks so sweet in this lilac ruffled Alberta Ferreti gown. It's fresh and flattering. She's so gorge.
Not seeing anything new from Michelle Williams here with this red Valintino column dress, but I still really love it. The geometric neckline with the beautiful lace and asymmetrical hem adds that little extra. What were some of your favorite looks from last night?
I picked up this amazing vintage handbag ($15!!!) from one of my favorite stores in the city, Vintage Socialite. I've found a number of unique and fun treasures in there. No doubt, The Mad Men series on AMC (which I admit I haven't become a loyal viewer of - don't judge me) has brought the hot vintage look of the 60's to the forefront of today's fashions. I shall love and embrace it!
Let me just begin by saying my husband and I are huge fans of hummus. We eat it.a.lot. So I thought instead of paying $4 a pop, let’s make our own, save a few pennies and make it even healthier. I should’ve taken Jack Donaghy’s advice and not followed a hippie to a second location or second post in this case.
“It was an epic bomb.” That’s a direct quote from my husband.
After a dreary and drizzle filled weekend, it was wonderful to see the sun shining! We're experiencing bizarro weather, nothing new here in Little Rock, and I took full advantage of not having to wear winter gear or a trash bag over my outfit today. So, I felt inspired to bust out this polka dot skirt on this warmish January afternoon!
I'll be honest, there were a lot of hot tranny messes, beige blahs and serious snooze alerts on the red carpet at the Golden Globes this year. There were a few okay moments, but nothing to write home about, but maybe to blog about.
My new girl crush, Rooney Mara definitely pulls off this edgy black Nina Ricci gown. Her make-up is great, but what is the dizell with the gym ponytail?? Lose it! She's so gorge, but let's do something with that hair, lady!
What can I say, I'm a sucker for any and all award shows. My favorite part, of course, is seeing what all of my favorite celebs are wearing. At the 2012 People's Choice Awards, how hard did Ginnifer Goodwin rock this amazing vibrant pink Roksanda Illincic dress! This was my absolute favorite look of the night. I not only LOVE the color, but the entire silhouette. Those sleeves are amazeballs and she totally pulls it off. I am also a huge fan of hers in general.
I also thought Miley Cyrus looked refreshingly chic in this David Koma number.
Emma Stone in Gucci proves you don't have to wear a dress to look fabulous at an award show. I love everything about this ensemble, the cropped kelley green structured tuxedo jacket, the black pants with the snaps at the bottom and peep toe pumps. Very fun and cool, much like Emma herself.
